What about Charlotte (2009)
What About Charlotte (2009) from Marie-Louise Masreliez on Vimeo.
What about Charlotte, is the second work based on the Motion Participatory Choreography method. Behind this circus piece lies profound research into the relations between the artist and the discipline - what the artist chose to bring into the process, the collaboration between the artists and the significance of the space in an attempt to understand presence of the artist in front of an audience. The circus itself withholds stories interesting enough to bring on to a stage and the project is searching for the natural dramaturgy in the movement and the discipline.
The piece is written for circus artists based on their stories, created and performed by circus artists and using circus as a language.
