Marie-Louise Masreliez has completed a series of three experimental circuspieces based on her method MPC, Motion Participatory Choreography; HIGHER (2011) What About Charlotte (2009) and Psyccess (2008). Marie-Louise graduated in May 2008 from the University of Dance and Circus in Stockholm new formation of circus (3 years leading to BA, former Circus Cirkör/Circus Pilots). She started her circus education in Carampa, Madrid and worked as an artist and pedagogue for a year before she continued studying in Stockholm. She originally trained as a Chinese pole performer and aerialist (catcher in cradle); however she decided to shift her professional focus to developing a portfolio as a circus director and choreographer.
She has been a teacher of improvisation and artistic work at the Cirkus Cirkör Secondary school of circus in Alby, Stockholm, where she has also directed the First year show in February 2009. She is an active member of Clowns without borders in Sweden and has worked in various projects in Jordan (2006) and Lebanon (2007 & 2008). She has also taught circus for special needs children (with Cirkus Cirkör). Marie-Louise worked in the Citytheatre’s play ”Momo” where she was understudy and circus artist. She is a member of the board of the Swedish circus organisation Manegen.
Marie-Louise has a former education in communications and pedagogy in Multimedia Education – Technology 180.0 credits and has experience working as a project manager.

Masreliez.se
Adrien Masreliez (Jacques Adrien Masreliez), 1717-1806, was a french ornament sculptor who arrived to Sweden from France in 1754 to participate in the construction of the present Stockholm Castle. He was also a teacher in ornamenting at the academy of art and he has drawn and designed and completed the angels at the altar of the cathedral of Gothenburg.
He was the first person in Sweden with the name Masreliez and thus founded the family with sculptors and artists. His older son Jean Baptiste Masreliez also turned into an ornamentsculptor. His younger son Louis Masreliez was in early ears a talented interior designer.
